Our Materials

All our 18k gold plated brass chains come from a Spanish manufacturer near Barcelona who is a leading chain manufacturer in Europe when it comes to quality. They produce and gold plate their chains in house in their own galvanic bathing department on highest quality since over 30 years. The process for our gold plated chains goes through 23 different baths, several cleaning processes, 1 micron of 18k solid gold (standard flash plating has below 0,175 micron) and a final 24k top coating that makes the chain last very long and durable. Gold plating is a technology that combines electric, mechanic and multiple surface treatments to obtain the expected specifications. Important factors are not only the volume of gold applied but also the adhesiveness, under seal, toughness, osmosis and gold carat, to mention a few. You will see and feel the outstanding quality of our chains. And of course they are guaranteed free of nickel, cadmium and lead.

 

We use cultured pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels which we carefully hand select piece by piece.
